The popularity of the ACA increases in every poll. The popularity of the GOP and Tea Party is at historic lows in every poll. I guess the cartoon is showing the lack of hope of the nihilist tea party goons who really, really hoped that they could destroy not just health insurance, not just the economy, not just the poor, not just jobs, but the very government of the country they pretend to love. And they have failed. I can see why they’d have lost hope after the routs they suffered on Tuesday that make it clear their brand of hatred just doesn’t sell.

Ah, yes, “W” gave so much “hope” to those wounded or killed as a result of that little “mis-statement” about WMDs, that he also lied and intimidated his own party with, and the opposition party, in support of a totally failed double war.

Conservatives need to remember that “W” ran on a promise of being “the peace President”, while he and Cheney were planning to invade Iraq, even before the election. It was well known in all intelligence circles that Saddam’s “WMD” program was destroyed by ’93, and any remnants left in the field were of no use (expired). In fact, one of the most serious impacts on U.S. troops occurred when idiots blew up an ammunition dump with chemical weapons in the first “Gulf War” and exposed them, leading to most of one unit coming down with ALS as a result of exposure. “Gulf War Syndrome”" was real, even though the Bushies denied it exicsts.

“Bush did not run on The ‘Hope and Change’ Platform.”

True. He ran on the “I’m a uniter, not a divider” platform. And your point is that we should expect platforms to be more slogan than reality? Agreed.

This is utter nonsense. Is there really nothing Obama has done that calls for intelligent commentary? Is he so perfect that you can’t do anything but throw playground insults?.Jeez, I voted for him twice and I can still think of plenty of negative things to say. Why do you think he’s so perfect, Chip?

“^ You’d have a very strong point there if that had actually happened. But it didn’t, so you don’t.”

Actually he is very close to being right. The uranium was in fact found and removed in 2004. The 600 warheads were not actually warheads, but chemical agents that were reported by the UN inspections agency to have been produced but never accounted for. Iraq claims to have destroyed them.

That’s your proof I’m wrong, huh? Nurf nurf."

I never said a word about anything that could be used or not used, and neither did you. What he said was technically correct, so you were technically incorrect in correcting him. And that’s a correct correction of your refutation. A simple “I stand corrected” response this time would suffice. :)

Polls probably from Huffington Post, Salon, Mad Magazine. All equally credible.
