I tried to check on the status of my application last night and the on-line chat person couldn’t do it because they’re not allowed to ask for identifying information. I had to call the phone line, which is a higher level of employment and screening..I know people who won’t shop online because they’re scared of giving up information, but will hand their credit card to a waiter who then walks away with it. Whip up the fear, Dana, keep the logic to a minimum..The insurance lobby with reward you with 76 virgins. Or trombones. Or … something.

But that’s not the claim made in the cartoon. There’s a difference between the actual help lines and fake help lines. Yes, Tigger, stop sipping and learn to read.

Sebelius answered the question based on Equal Opportunity Employment Standards. It is illegal to discriminate employment based on a criminal background of a person. Of course the right wingers take it as OMG! OBAMA’S GONNA HIRE FELONS! But what else is new.

Mind you, many convicted felons who have served their time would be more interested in y’know, having a steady job than in trying to steal from ACA applicants.
