The Squirrels are lucky. I got dogs in my neighborhood trying to serenade me to sleep at night sometimes… NOT very relaxing at all.

For sleep-shattering serenades, nothing can beat courting cats.

The little bird must feel like he has a very appreciative audience. And he sure does. Aw so sweet when you can give a gift of your talent.

And here I thought squirrels only stayed where birds were because of bird feeders!!

Lovely to hear the mockingbirds singing any time of night or day (just began to be too chilly to sleep with windows open now) I can’t hear them with window closed.

With the stray cats – if I could catch them, they’d go to spay or neuter clinic. (Shelters don’t accept stray cats here).

A neighbor liked Katachurian’s Sabre Dance and played it often. As a result, the neighborhood mockingbird sang it too – just couldn’t get the trombone smear in it.

That serenade is not “for the birds”.
