Pretty soon your paycheck will just automatically go to the government and they will divvy up your “obligations” and just maybe a couple dollars will be left for you and your family.Welcome to O’s World!

What a dumb cartoon. The ACA has already saved my son thousands of dollars for college (since he can remain on my policy) and he got through college fully insured. Lisa Benson is a liar who cannot (or refuses) to acknowledge the real-world huge savings that the ACA brings to previously uninsurable Americans.

How in your world does that reduce waste, fraud, and abuse? All it does is speed the money to them to abuse it, waste it, and defraud those that work for a living.

This debate began because there whew supposed to be 30 million uninsured. After this takes effect, 30 million will remain uninsured and the rest will be paying much more for insurance. It would have been more effective to go out and buy insurance for the uninsured. However, this has nothing to do with the uninsured. It has to do with the government getting more control over our every moment. We are moving more and more toward a fascist (look it up) state. That is the real desire of the democrat party.

“Isn’t that what the Right is and has always been fighting to reduce? Can’t have it both ways…”

Well, it’s what they claim they’re fighting for. However, given the history of the last several decades, their credibility is somewhat flawed. I can’t recall a time when the GOP lifted a finger to reduce government influence on the lives of individuals. Rather the reverse, really.

The GOP’s true commitment is to relieving Corporate Industry of any social responsibility of any kind.

But having said that – when have the Dems lifted a finger for the public or smaller government either? At least they aren’t going around claiming they support that, though.

If either party ever made a concerted effort to reduce waste, fraud and abuse, there would probably be deep unrest, if not actual rioting. Industry would scream abuse, and the teabaggers and the rest of the rednecks would back them. Under no circumstances can Commerce be interfered with in the smallest way.

    That’s the American bottom line.

What I can’t figure out is how they think they can function without a sound, healthy workforce. That part seems decidedly counterproductive, doesn’t it? But the gods forbid the needs of any working people or middle class should be met if they can’t be stripped of what they own.

What the H are they afraid of???

“So the German government is immune from waste, fraud, and abuse. Thank you for the best humor so far today.”

The Germans have instituted some very nice checks and balances into their law making and regulation process.

They have a much better shot at survival than we do. They appear to have maintained their education system, just for starters. Ours has been destroyed in the interest of achieving a confused, ineffectual population of arrested adolescents. A very successful program.

    That’s not humourous.

“Wouldn’t it have been cheaper just to pay directly for the healthcare who couldn’t get insurance?”

Of course it would. That’s what we need, and that’s what Obama was talking about when he took office.

It’s called ‘single payer care’. We kind of got the impression you reject that option, but yes, it certainly would be very much cheaper. It would be much better for patients, too, with the insurers out of the picture.

this cartoon shows the damage done by Obamacare to regular families under age 65.not shown is the over age 65 Medicare singles or couples that are losing full coverage due to the THEFT of $700 Billion from Medicare!or the workers under age 30 that are being forced to buy full coverage insurance they do not need because of youth and good health….just to pay the higher premiums to keep the older Americans with coverage. All have to pay for coverages not needed…elders for abortions and pregnancy and anti-pregnancy….youth for un-needed tests and preventions for later-life problems.-we are about to become the USASocialist nation…
