I still think a one-way cruise to Somalia…you know that redumblican nirvana that has no government, no taxes, no regulations, and you make money by taking hostages fits all of them.
He hugged Obama because Obama had helped the citizens of his state, over the objections and delay of the tea party, who only vote for disaster relief in their own districts. Harley, not everyone is like you, valuing your party purity over the lives of the citizens of this country.
“Would you rather have a morbidly obese president who suffers a heart attack or stroke during a moment of crisis that demands immediate action…”
Haven’t you been reading? The president only goes golfing. He never does anything, and evidently never has anything on his agenda but his next golf game or next vacation. What difference does it make if Mr. Christie isn’t built for stress? The presidency is just a taxpayer-funded 4-year vacation.
Some call Christie pragmatic, I think of him more as an opportunist. He’s basically a statist, who opposes gay marriage and thinks the NSA spying on its own citizens is just hunky dory. I’ll have none of him, thank you.
My post was a reply to a post that evidently has since been deleted. The quote that included the “morbidly obese” reference was someone else’s. Having said that, if Mr. Christie is not morbidly obese, he is closing in on the category. As a health-care professional, my only concern is the patient’s health. It is not a question of “body image” or what I personally prefer.
Perhaps I am kind of stupid, but I think you misinterpreted my comment. It was intended as sarcasm. Many, many posts on this website find a way to blame all of the Obama administration failures on the “fact” that he’s always playing golf…..whether this is true or not. I was poking fun at those who, on the one hand, say that the president can get away with doing nothing but playing golf, yet on the other hand bring up how stressful the job would be for Mr. Christie.
I’m sorry my sarcasm was lost on you. Maybe I’ll do a better job next time.

For your trip to Washington you’re going to have to empty your closet, and don’t forget to pack your trunk…

No, please, please, Republicans! Nominate a Ted Cruz! Don’t nominate some one like Christie who lives in the real world! He could win!

While Christie is a popular man his weight is very serious. I having nothing against being fat, look at me, but Christie is a high risk person.
A while back 60Min did a story of “stapling” over weight people some lost some didn’t. Being President is a long hour day and night job.
People this heavy have a much high risk of death. Hillary could run for President and Christie’s Vice President that way it is a win win for her, LOL

" Things are brewing in Syria. It is going to end up being our problem whether we like it or not."
So how is that Obama’s fault ..? Which past administration has been able to straighten out the Middle East? Any ..?
Why is it OK when your guy fails, but not anyone else?
