The Illinois General Assembly passed a bill legalizing gay marriage. The governor is expected to sign it in to law.

Meh.

Actually, that’s one positive Illinois has done in recent years.

And the last Republican thinking liberal.

Have you ever noticed how the right-wing christian theocratic nut jobs have never noticed that jesus never even mentioned homosexuality, but that he indicated on several occasions that his followers would have to sell all their possessions and give to the poor in order to follow him? Which is proof positive that their religion consists of the smug, self-satisfied opinion that the bible is full of good things that other people should be doing.

“Critical thinking” and its idiot cousin “Critical Pedagogy” (as those terms are used by the Left) are neither.

Paul wrote Romans…Jesus was a Jew, under the Mosaic law, and the Law prohibited homosexuality, so he didn’tHAVE to mention it…it was clearly understood.

Bravo comrade freethinker. Bravo. Join our movement to crush those who have swallowed the opiate of religion. Ten years in a Gulag will make them all the wiser. We shall appoint you commissar of political and religious prisoners. Please put the scum to trial and to prison.

Hey, timecube farmer:1) Jesus didn’t write Romans; Paul did (aren’t you just the great bible genius?).2) I’ve actually already read the bible more than you ever will (probably straight through 15 or 20 times).3) I don’t burn books; even those I despise. You’re thinking of the taliban and it christian cognates.4) So, when are putting Jesus’ words (Luke 14.33) into practice? Or are you just looking for things that you think other people should be doing?
