If that really did happen, I’m sure James and Sue would be smart enough to simply let go of the backpacks. Maria, on the other hand…..it would be the principle of the thing.
I never did the backpack thing, before my time. I think i would prefer though to keep my books in an attache case or soft-sided briefcase. Seems to me it would be more organized and easier on the back. Might be a lot of teasing from other kids with bad backs though.
