It broke my cat’s heart when I got a flat screen TV, he used to sleep on top of my big and wide old style TV because all the hot air produced by the set came up through the air holes up there. I measured the temperature once with a thermometer, it was 100 F. (He also liked it because it was the highest point in the room and gave him a great view of what was going on.)

One time our Burmese somehow ended up stuck upside-down behind a radiator. He never went near one again after that…no matter how cold it was.

My in-laws repaired and used the old hot water radiators in their house for heat. Worked great. They put blankets on top for the cats to lie on.
