I’m wondering why I had to find out about the cancellation of Alphas from The Big Bang Theory. Do you know how deep into the nerd forest you have to go to formulate that particular question?
“They [Nerds] may spend inordinate amounts of time on unpopular, obscure, or non-mainstream activities, which are generally either highly technical or relating to topics of fiction or fantasy, to the exclusion of more mainstream activities.”So I guess I must be a GoComics kinda Nerd.
I’m nearly 82 years and I’m hooked on Avengers, Thor andIronman. In the late thirties I discovered comics and still callthem that when they aren’t funny.
The kind that loves comics like yours, movies like star trek and star wars, animation like Japanese anime, but also loves sports like football and basketball. I’m all over the place!
In the past 20yrs or so I’ve become quite the astronomy nerd. We know so very little about this big universe we live in and they are finding new things every day. I blame it all on the Hubble telescope. After seeing stars being born in a nebula, I was hooked.
just saw yesterday’s- very nice. My husband was in the USMC for 6 years. My Dad was in the Air Force, my brother in the Navy…my daughter is engaged to a Vet who was wounded in Afghanistan.

I guess I’m nerdy enough to try to pretend I’m NOT nerdy sometimes….but it always peeks out…. sigh….

I believe the proper term is ‘dork’, not ‘nerd’.
