well, it would make it a more even contest; the odds seem to be stacked in favor of the humans

MPeters: If deer were born to survive, they would attack from ambush. The hooves are sharper than the antlers. Those two bucks would be fighting each other, not cooperating. You’ve obviously never hunted or you would know rattling some old antlers is an effective way to bring bucks to shoot. More die from natural causes because hunters have less wits than the deer, because hunting season is short enough to diminish stress on the deer, because they are polygynous and one buck can create a large number of fawns, and because they can breed when only one year old. And also because “natural causes” include the few other predators permitted to still exist and the aforementioned stress caused by hunters, which are no more natural than hunters.

I hate posting late as no one ever get to read my post. Years back I was deer hunting with a AR10 (chambered for 308) I was down in the valley and all of a sudden the bark on the tree just behind me went flying. I was being shot at. I hit the dirt and starting scream for them to stop. They shoot twice more even closer. I dumped 3 clips (5 shot each) about 15 or 20 feet over their heads raining tress branches down on them. They stop shotting and ran off. I went up to where they had been and found beer cans and and Jack Daniels bottles laying all around. Those fools were so drunk I bet to this day they think that a deer shot back at them. After that I sold the AR10 and have never been deer hunting again.
