I put in 1 year in Boston and three in Jamaica Plain (JP). Well done, except for the main premise. I went to lots of Sox games while there. It didn’t matter who was playing, whether the home team was winning or losing, whether the score was close or close to slaughter….everyone was having a good time at the ball game. Until the Yankees came to town. Then there were fights from first pitch to the end of the game. Yankee fans are the worst.
Sox fans don’t need to worry about becoming like Yankees fans. I don’t think it’s possible.
As a New Yorker…LOVE the Yankee comment. CONGRATULATIONS all the same Boston fans. Obviously I’m NOT a native New Yorker ’cause one would never say that :-)
I was living in Cambridge in 92 and 93 when the Toronto Blue Jays won the world series two years in a row. Now I live in Toronto. I guess I’m kind of a jonah.
