    I agree with Elliott on that note.

    Bev…. are people who hang out on GoComics really very good judges of what is “normal?”

    When I would call my sister at work, I’d tell the person who answered the phone to let her know “her crazy sister” was calling. Somebody once asked her how many sisters she had. “Only one.” Big sigh.

    As a child, I only spent time with cousins on my mother’s side (those on my father’s side were very numerous and I only know the names of those closest to my age. Mom was one of 3 girls and 1 sis had 3 girls, the other, 3 boys. I had one brother (almost 4 years younger, now deceased). These are the 2 older of the 3 girls with me back in 1942.

    None were crazy, if anything, I was considered the crazy one and mostly found their lives boring.

    I keep in touch with all but one cousin. He refuses to associate with even his brother and sisters. He is the wired one and I m the crazy one.

    Had a family reunion in Georgia when I was a wee one. 625 relatives showed up and I thought they were all either weird or crazy.

    I’m most pleased with my own children and grandkids. I accepted my husband (never chose him – he just would not stop calling) because I thought our children would speak 2 languages and have good teeth (the latter worked out) but in spite of my making that effort to speak only Spanish at home the children rejected it because their friends all spoke English only. I stayed with him long enough so they would be in school while I was working (I did dressmaking and addressed party invites in fancy inks while being “stay-at-home mom”.

    @DAZZ

    On the chance that photo was a treasured memory, I did a quick white balance color correction and it looks much nicer.

    That calico cat on your right can’t have been a happy camper. I hope she didn’t claw your cousin. Calicoes can be moody.

    I don’t know how to post it here but if you care, let me know and I’ll send you a copy.
