The head of the International Monetary Fund said a few times over the last few months that if the US Congress had not created so many fiscal threats over the last three years, the world economy, AND the US economy, would be at LEAST 4% better than it is right now. This view has been echoed by US executives and economists across the nation.Like a dead oarfish, Congress is large and stinks.Respectfully,C.
You sound so foolish. You actually believe the crap you liberals put out. Conservatives have family’s too. Don’t believe all the lies spewed out by El Presidente.
Except TTM, the EPA was established by Richard Nixon a Republican… What we need are sensible and easily complied with regulations not a policy of Zero Tolerance that many agencies have adopted including the EPA..Thus my analogy: It washed up dead on the beach drowned in a sea of red tape.
Your absurdity is claiming Republicans oppose all regulations that protect the environment. All the existing regs for America are pointless when the Third World ignores the environment. Enjoy the day…
For proof, look at the history of the railroads from about 1900 until Reagan. During that time the railroads were the most heavily regulated business in the country. Did they grow? Of course not. They actually downsized because regulations disallowed them from competing in the market and forced them to continue to use antiquated equipment designs. Once the regulations were thrown out, the railroads became healthy. Some of the decline in use of rail freight was due to ICC interference, but a lot more business was lost to them new-fangled aeroplanes & tractor trucks. Reagan’s deregulation allowed for consolidation & more flexibility in dropping unprofitable lines. Even more importantly, rising oil prices gave the railroads a huge cost advantage over trucks & air in terms of costs.

The government borrows $.40 of every $1 that it spends. If you loonies don’t think that’s bankrupt, then there is no hope for you.

“Let’s think about this for a minute.” You should follow your own advice and stick to the subject, not flail off into absurdity.
