I’m pretty sure Monty’s license doesn’t allow him to bag a motorist, so I’ll agree with the cop this time….

There are VERY specific laws about hunting near a road. You are never ever supposed to point your weapon toward it. I don’t hunt and I know this. Most likely that officer would be arresting him if he was aiming at anything on the other side of the street.

Somehow, I never would have thought Monty was the type to go hunting. Not because of kindliness toward animals, but because of the effort involved.

The deer in the picture looks like a doberman with a fork protruding.

The sign reminded me of the blonde joke about the person who moved the deer crossing signs because the spot where it had been was too dangerous for the deer to cross at. She wanted to move it to a safer spot so the deer would cross there. I’ve never really heard of a deer call, although I know there are elk calls.

We say this all summer up in Estes Park, CO! Especially when the tourists ask-“when do the deer turn into elk?”

We dont shoot the tourists. They are bagged, tagged & released. Its a catch & release program. If done right – they’ll keep coming back.

I believe that in some states it illegal to hunt from roadways.
