shytimes2, I couldn’t agree with you more. I can remember having this discusion with the ex. I told her that when our boys grew up their childhood memory would be of battling the Legend of Zelda.
One beautiful Saturday morning my husband and I were spreading mulch on our hosta beds. The girl next door and her friend from the next house, were outside swinging and playing in the yard. Because of the bushes, my husband and I were not visible to them. The first little girl’s mother came out the door and said, “girls, why don’t you come inside and watch a movie” while holding a video in her hands. So, yes it happens

When I was a kid we played ball all day ( sun up till sun down )In winter sledding and tobogganing. Never in the house except to eat and sleep.
