What people have now is health care what about 45 million (having nearly doubled in number since Obamacare passed) was no health insurance. Now with Obamacare up and running tens of thousands that didn’t have an insurance plan now do at a cost of a big chunk of their reduced to part time paycheck…
@Radish- The GOP are upset because the Left took such a heavy handed and grossly over-killed approach to a much smaller problem! It’s a little like blowing up the house to get rid of the mouse. The only reason it’s law is because it’s a new tax!
They should have dealt with the problem- which was get insurance to those who either cannot afford it or cannot get it- period, but instead we get a massive new tax that will tank the economy- it’s already happening.
Actually, many historians agree that Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake’ in response to a report that the peasants did not have enough bread. No, no, do not malign the poor lady. When she heard that peasants were living very badly she promptly moved out of the palace to the ornate villa behind Versailles, Le Petit Trianon, and pretended she was a simple shepherdess. I think it was to show solidarity with the peasants. Or something.
It wasn’t that the Republicans finally blinked, it’s that they finally opened their eyes. The real problem isn’t bread or cake, it’s TEA. That part of the party was finally told to take a Cruz- unfortunately, it’s only a three day tour, and the island isn’t a refuge, but just another stumbling block in three more months.
^You need to look up the definition of despicable, and look in a mirror. The ACA is NOT “free”, and I’m sure all those trying to find health care when they discover their newborn has a heart defect, or unsuspected genetic disorder will love your “generous love of Mankind”.
Perhaps you should be mad at your job; not Obamacare. The filthy rich already pay out of pocket because they can. They don’t need insurance, and they are not part of Obamacare. Neither is anyone else who already has health insurance. Obamacare is for those who can’t afford health insurance or have pre-existing conditions that used to prevent them from getting health insurance. Obamacare only affects about 15% of the population. Why are insurance companies more important to you than people who need health care? Health insurance companies are about making profits; not helping people. You sound a little brainwashed by the right wingers.
Not true! I’m refuting your inaccurate comment. “Everyone” is not covered by Obamacare. Huge tax? If corporations and the very wealthy paid the taxes they actually owed, instead of “laundering” their money offshore, the tax burden for all the rest of us would be reduced significantly. Check out what the corporate and top tax rates were when Eisenhower was president. Because they interfere with your preconceived visceral ramblings, I know you people are uncomfortable with facts. But that’s why our side always wins. We know the facts. We embrace the facts.
Realize that all the new people being offered health care are going to be offered subsidies “welfare” at the expense of every one who had health insurance. It is the producers who will now be in the position of not being able to afford this “health care” and there will be a lot more than previously didn’t have insurance.
This is a massive overkill to get more democratic voters and the control of single payer which is speeding towards us now.
