    Meanwhile…. I am so sorry, Ess…Bev suggested FlyKittyFly….

and he’s been so good lately, ever since his last run-in with the Sheriff….

I really thought he’d mended his evil ways….if for no other reasons than the threat of a long stretch in Ballard County jail…and the large supply of catnip I’d promised him.

    Bev…. was your shipment OK?

Anyway…. of course I’ll deliver yours again, Ess, and Bev’s, if necessary…I’ll bring it myself, driving Elvis, as soon as I get off work here.Sorry about the delay.

Sorry…. had an interruption, and I gotta try not to stay up so late tonight….

But over the last day or two, there have been so many posts I didn’t have time to make or answer ….Just a couple of things:Linguist…. if you didn’t get to see your cake Wednesday, or your presents, Thursday…. just let me know, please.I’ll be happy to re-post on the NEXT day, so you don’t have to go back.

Which reminds me …. about birthdays…I’ve left a couple of posts about this elsewhere, lately, but apparently they weren’t seen….

Anyone who’d like to contact me, about birthdays or whatever, and doesn’t know how….

Please go to the “Agnes” strip, here on GoComics… and use the calendar to navigate back to the forum on 6/6/06.(Don’t leave me messages there, though, please!)

If you don’t know how to do that, let me know here.

I’ll get back to you as soon as I can….I can’t promise tons of correspondence but it’s nice to have an “offline” network.

Meanwhile…in re: a post on yesterday’s strip about an upcoming birthday….

We have a good time with birthdays here on Ballard Street.A year or so ago, a few of us started collecting the information to surprise each other with little parties….It has snowballed a bit, and frankly, it’s a lot of work, but it’s still fun.

But….it’s still intended to be a little surprise … not a duty or a promise.

I guess it’s no longer a secret that we have an e-mail list, so we can let people know.

If you’d like to share YOUR birthday info, we’d love to have it.Or if you’d like to get the e-mails, stop getting them, or even ask us NOT to celebrate your birthday….you’re welcome to contact me, politely, as above….

But those who do it will all tell you that a lot of time and effort goes into searching for those perfect pictures to post….

even more, to create or alter them for a card, a birthday cake, or an invitation….sometimes days! Some of us love it…but we can’t even be sure that we’ll have time to do it, even for our Ballard Street friends and neighbors.

Anybody is welcome to become a regular here….after all…. strangers are only people we haven’t met.

But PLEASE …. when you invite people you know on other forums to come to Ballard Street …make it be to enjoy the strip, and to be part of the…. um….whatever it is…. LOL…. Please do NOT promise or imply that “we” will give them a birthday party just for showing up here!

Sort of like swimming with sharks.“Oh they are not dangerous.”I am thinking its a shark………its dangerous.Folks in Alaska going “OHHH….look at the bears fishing in the river.” “Lets get closer.”Bad idea. The only safe clown in the whole world.Emmett Kelly. His clown “Weary Willie” Local hobo trying to get by.Lou Jacobs was the scary one. His clown was a European style. Bright flashy and in your face. This Ballard Clown favors Lou.

Chet, it was the shoes all the time; the trigger and the genius. One thing I would like to mention before we get too far away from the beginning of this conversation; don’t print your own signs. Secondly, I love your energy, the nose and the hair outstanding, and the plunger a cosmic touch with wonderful metaphoric properties and a practical process moving forward, however you didn’t have to go all the way to polka dots to realize your objectives. I know Shirley was encouraging and supportive and at the same time on the verge of going to Toledo. Surely you see what a high maintenance kinda guy you are, maybe not. You probably have a pretty convincing rationale for everything you do, being as thoughtful as you are. Anyway one last thought, go easy on Stanley, you can see the misgiving, the awkward posture, you see he’s skeptical, like a rock skipping on the surface, hitting the high spots and missing the rest, he has no clue; say nothing, you have done enough.

I’m sorry about yesterday. Did not expect to cause such turmoil. Sometimes I spin a little out of control. I deleted that post. Now I’ll have lime juice (I bought 10 yesterday because price was 5@ 1).

As the Dazz was replying to one of my comments before she digressed, I have to admit that she did not offend me, as I got lost about half way through. I have a very short attention span..I don’t think she was responsible for invading any countries or killing innocent civillians. The lime juice is a little disturbing..I don’t want to meet any saints when I die as that will upset my view of the universe. I hope I haven’t misinterpreted your comment, if so, I apologise.

But OK…. I want to say…. especially to pcolli, Essex, and Bev….

I’m sorry…. but I’d just kind of reached boiling point last night.

It’s not JUST about the vulgarity…. though it did NOT belong here and I’m glad it was removed….

I can be …. well, suggestive…. I can enjoy an off the wall remark or joke…but not here, unless it’s very subtle….

But mostly….just think….. what if YOU had a person in your life with whom you’d been intimate, who, in spite of your perfectly clear requests NOT to proclaim a relationship with you, not to talk about you on the internet or elsewhere, and NOT to share your picture…..

kept calling you “lover”, posting images of you….and of your grown children…. to say nothing of all the pictures of her own family… in places where someone who knows any of you might happen to show up to read the comics….this IS a public website!

and also started describing your prowess in intimate situations….

And recently added, in many comments, fairly graphic descriptions of the…. I blush to add….shape of parts of your anatomy….and was pretty much advertising for someone to match them…OMG….would you be saying “Atta girl?”Defending it?helping give information on posting those pictures?

It finally went over the line for me, last night… and I burst.

And I also have to add… after some thought…

in response to some things pcolli and Essex were saying…..

A person who thinks love is about physical attributes…. be they visual or otherwise…. well… it even makes me sad, thinking he or she doesn’t know what love is, or possibly has never received it.

Cos we aren’t all born physically perfect, and even the ones who come closest will get older… or their bodies might be changed by illness, accidents, surgeries… If you love someone…. or are, yourself, loved for… whatever’s on the inside

wow… you are so much better off than those who have to worry about the outsides.

“Love is not love, Which alters when it alteration finds….”

Which play was that quote from? Or is it from a sonnet? I think it is the latter. It’s been a long time since I studied Shakespeare.

Re: Red Skelton: Loved his show, Clem Kadiddlehopper was one of the best characters ever created…I remember staying up for The Nelsons, (ricky, his brother and parents) but this was considered an adult show, so I felt so impowered and special because I could watch Red…Dad wouldnt let us watch Milton Berles Texaco Hour, but Mr. Skelton and his characters and guests were loved and appreciated…

Was just watching more of Andy Cohen in the clubhouse from a few nights saved. I also stepped in to get my Property tax paid online (ours in AZ would be overdue beginning of November) One of Andy’s bartenders did a poofy drink with some cinnamon milk stuff added to goldslager and extra sprinkle of gold leaf. I think the milky stuff would spoil the effect of the gold (and my version would be Goldwasser with blue Curacao, and I might even punch it up with some coconut rum. You’re all welcome to try one on me- yummy!

I’ve not been around much today because I was embarrassed by the reaction to my post. I hoped that it could just be skipped by those who don’t like that. As I told even my doctor, I am really just interested in pleasure at this time in my life as there would otherwise be nothing left worth doing. I want to see if I can live to at least 100 in good shape without meds and enjoying good food and drinks and yes, other stuff (safely with one partner). Never mean to offend – SORRY!

I love chocolate (and mixed some in almond milk last night but not Nestle AND ESPECIALLY NOT HERSHEY). Even some cocoa powder at my organic Sprouts store (where I buy produce and baking stuff) I have to read labels carefully to avoid Dutch processed and sweeteners. I buy Chatfield’s for drinking and baking and Green & Blacks 70% bars to snack. I also am fine with Lindt and Ghiradelli’s high % bars from the supermarket. Since they all go to the trouble of trying to have a good taste, the important part is to have the healthier choice.
