@Ted RallGood comment, nice to see that you read the comments, but remember that, as I have said before, getting into a argument with a Troll could be the Worse Thing You Have Ever Done.

Trolls are big scary monsters – until the light of day hits them. Then they crack and fall apart. At least that’s what I heard…The Dems and Repubs are simply the good cops and the bad cops, playing us for suckers. Electoral politics will remain meaningless for working people until the international Labor Party backed by the power of a resurgent union movement takes center stage. That’s when the fireworks begin!

You do realize the planet is round so moving left can cause one to appear to have moved to the right.

The leftys are so far left they aren’t even on planet earth anymore.Really? Last time I checked Democrats weren’t threatening to default over marriage equality or tax increases.

I think everyone here needs to look more into the Nolan chart.

Rather than a line, its a square, and both the R’s and D’s are moving fast to the bottom point (Totalitarianism)

He reminds me of the “conservative” commentators on the website for the regional newspaper. Every time the paper prints a story that casts Republicans in a bad light, they refer to the news paper as the “Red Star,” and complain it’s too liberal." When the paper prints a story that casts the Democrats in a bad light, then the “conservative” posters opine the story was non-partisan.

When AP’s poll found Bush’s approval rating down to 37%, they put it in their headline, and the first paragraph led off with it.When AP found Obama’s approval rating fell to 37%, their headline read “No Heroes in Shutdown, Republicans get Most Blame” and buried Obama’s approval rating in the 8th paragraph, and even then only in the context of the Republican’s approval rating. So… I guess Obama won’t win a third term. The difference between Obama’s 37% & Bush’s 37% is that back in 2006, Congress has a record low approval rating now. Obama’s low ratings are well known & covered. In 2006, Congress was more popular than a sitting president. That almost never, ever happens. The AP article says what they found: everyone in Washington is held in low regard, but Congress especially so. 5% approval is an all time low.

Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. That speech was theater for childish minds. Other nations cringed or were offended. On September 20th, 2001, the U.S. enjoyed an outpouring of sympathy from the entire world. What many nations thought, was “Now that Americans have experienced what we have gone through, maybe they will learn to use their immense power more responsibly.” The world applauded when we toppled the Taliban & put Al-Qaeda on the run. Mubarek, Saud, Saddam, Assad & Gadhaffi all offered to help against Al-Qaeda. .At the end of the day, no terrorist movement has been defeated, once & for all through violent measures. You may be temporarily intimidated into a passive state by overwhelming violence, but do you care to admit that would last?As far as the long term value of that speech, few applaud the end result of Bush’s course in his ‘War on Terror’. When we invaded Iraq, I was sickened by the sight of people chanting, “USA! USA! USA!”, like we won a gold medal. According to various fools at the time, I was with the terrorists.
