Wonder what Kadaver’s first killing will be…..

So that thing that appeared above Tracy’s head yesterday looking like the top of a heart, is it some kind of funky video screen? I seems like the same one has a picture of Abner Kadaver on it today.

By the way, I love the name Rikki Mortis too. I wouldn’t have guessed it, I don’t think. As an aside, it seems like the colourist here really like to make a lot of things purple. I don’t think it really suits Rikki’s hair much.

I’m expecting Batman and Robin to burst in any second now.

Rikki is pretty funky looking, and so for that matter is the lair she and Abner are in. With more than 30 killings (according to the FBI agent/harasser of Sam, Fritz Ann Dietrick) already under his belt, Kadaver must be one of the most prolific hitmen in the city’s bullet-riddled history.

FYI, folks, Mike sez to tell you he DOES read the comments here, but he has problems posting on GoComics! :D

ok, i’m calling FOUL again ( i know ray, big surprise) but uinless there was a time lapse between the strips of 10/23 and yesterday, fritz ann would have been on her way to the mcu hq when abner “died” in prison.

and like someone said here before while we were languishing at the wheaton farm. mike doesnt like to use the “meanwhile” phrase to show action taking place at the same time… so why not use “several days later” or “the next day” or something to that effect? if you read it straight thru like some posters here like to do, it almost seems as if abner died, fritz ann got the information (instantly) then (instantly again) showed up at tracy’s office with the information.

not for nothing.. and jim doherty PLEASE correct me on this if i am wrong… but i would imagine that if a mass murderer like kadaver who has had numerous run ins with tracy and his pals previously.. had died while in prison, then the prison itself would have notified the arresting authorities with the information of his demise.

technically, fritz ann COULD be giving tracy info he already had.. but judging by todays strip, it dont work that way.

Try Dick Tracy on Seattlepi comics, I’ve noticed they usually do a better job on coloring the posted image most of the time, and today’s comic has a red eyed Abner on Tracy’s screen, he’s creepy and absolutely perfect. Their lines for some odd reason are also cleaner there.

What’s with all of the coffee and tea drinking lately?

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rikki Mortis (what a wonderfully dead-on name) was inspired by Liza Minnelli’s Sally Bowles in Caberet, at least in part.
