    Well… I’ve been in a glass bottom boat….and a (terrifying) glass elevator.

    And yeah, I’ve kinda bumped against that salary thing, too….but it was never glass; it was solid concrete.No attempt at invisibility whatsoever, back then.

    not personally but I did notice that the majority of the upper management in our company was male and the FEW women were ALL of the INDIAN nationality. The company was owned and operated by AMERICANS when I went to work for them and had American in its name but by the time I retired it was owned AND operated by the India branch of the company and 95% of the work had also been transferred there, so it was no longer a 1## American company but a 1## India company………sad and soooooooo glad I am out of there.

    No glass ceiling at the junkyard. Its a family business and I get to work with my spouse. Lucky gal…..right?

    Oh, and my bosses were very happy to introduce me as “one of their engineers” when I was dressed in cocktail or evening dress.
