And where do they put those things when they get them inside, that won’t cause all the leaves to fall off for lack of light?….

@SusanSunshine – Thanks so much for the birthday wishes! What a sweet surprise! This is my first comic on my list, so I’ll leave this message here. Happy half birthday to you, too! We’ll always be sweet sixteen, if only in our dreams. As always, thanks for being a ray of sunshine!

My younger daughter lives in Wisconsin now, but has to have some Florida plants to remind her of Back in the Day. Earlier this week she brought in the banana plants, the lemon grass (it’s taller than the table now), the lime tree and the scrawny little pineapple, and put then by the sliding doors that face south. I’ve influenced her not to put them on the dining table.

And with global warming, we’ll never have to bring them in.

I’m told you can grow mango trees in California, you just string Christmas lights on for a little extra heat when it dips down to freezing. Be the neighbor with Christmas lights on in November through March!

I like that – Christmas lights on mango trees. I’d want to put up the lights that look like little chili peppers. :)
