Since the Democrats refuse to do their job and pass a budget, they should be considered “non-essential” employees.

I’m a registered Green and I have no use for most Democrats. I consider them to be the less conservative branch of the Money Party. Most Republicans (my representative actually voted against the shutdown) are beginning to repulse me. If my five year old son acted like them, he would be on the timeout sofa for five minutes and probably lose the use of my iMac (he loves computer games-I fear for his future) for at least an hour.

A government shut down might not be so bad when you look at it that way….

Actually pretty much everything in this strip is considered “essential services” and will not be shut down.

If only the Democrats would agree that affordable health care insurance is a terrible idea and the status quo was best.

My recommendation is that the Republicans approve full funding of government including Obamacare and then require the Executive Branch and all the White House aids to use it by removing their current “Cadillac” insurance plan provided by taxpayers.

Mr. Rall, I’m left wing and sympathize with your message, but geez, man, don’t you ever overdose on your own cynicism?
