So…by that same logic, there shouldn’t be any more talk about guns because it was debated, voted on, and passed a.k.a. the second amendment? Also, I think at one point in time slavery was the law of the land. As well as Prohibition. And look how well those turned out.
I’m not saying I don’t think the healthcare system needs a major overhaul. But I have more and more doubts that this current bit of legislation is the way to go.
We’re told that after a mass shooting isn’t the time to talk about gun regulation. So, during a government shutdown isn’t the time to talk about the Affordable Care Act. It’s not that the GOP is inflexible, it is that they have a single minded obsession with destroying any and all of Obama’s legislative successes. They don’t want to give Obamacare a chance to work because it just might improve lives of Americans. They want to wipe it away and return us to the insane growth in health care costs which are more damaging to the economy than their fantasy of socialized medicine. We have given the 2nd amendment 200 years to work and now it is flawed and needs adjustment. Let’s give Obamacare 200 years and see how it works…
The law passed. Even the right-wingers on the SCOTUS said it was legitimate. Shutting down, or “overthrowing” the government, IS TREASONOUS behavior, NOT “political pressure”. The law does contain flaws intentionally put in by REPUBLICANS, and amendments are called for, to get rid of the “junk” they put in.

Hey Repugs, you lost the vote, you lost the election and you lost the court case. Grow up and fund the government, all of it.

Republicans think “negotiating” means saying, “Okay, we didn’t need a fleet in Pearl Harbor anyway. And you can have Guam and the Philippines, too.”

I think it would be a good if all Repugnants were to “sleep with the fishes” .
