I know the feeling. We can’t afford to downsize. A two-bedroom condo in this area costs a quarter mil, and we just might get that for our four bedroom, two-acre place.
Oil boom here in SUBURBS of Houston, TX has not affected housing prices. The cost for 2000 sqft is still below 200K. The oil boom has done WONDERS for teacher salaries, though … 50K for high school science teacher is awesome.
