When I’m yelling at the screen during a football game, even the dogs run and hide. I can’t remember ever yelling at a baseball game. A cat on my lap would easily be able to sleep through nine innings.
We Braves fans recall an egregious “infield fly” call a year ago, by an umpire who seemingly did not know the purpose or history of the infield fly rule. In all fairness that call did not cause the Braves to lose the game – the Cardinals played a meritorious game, and the Braves not so great – but it significantly diminished hope for a come-back. Braves fans are not nearly so vocal as those of several other teams, so even if there is no crying, there certainly is yelling in baseball.

My cat loves hockey. He sits close to the TV (in HD) and he’ll just sit there and track the puck.
