Just watched the Bela Lugosi “Dracula” after many years. In scenes meant to show rats, it seems opossums were used.

I saw Opossum Opapers and wondered if Obama was on the front page since the government seems to be playing dead…

emptc12: My wife once called out, “There’s a giant rat in our garage.” I didn’t get there in time to see any but a hairless tail moving behind some boxes. The movement was too slow and steady for a rat, but I couldn’t identify what. Soon a white face with a pink nose peered out. Identity was obvious. Leaving the door open, but otherwise not disturbing Pogo, it soon left.

Months later, my wife announced, with tones of “do something!” that “There’s a dead possum in our yard.” My instinctive reply was, “Are you sure?” It was.

Saucy1121: Probably, but not total proof, a large dog could have carried it off.
