“If we destroy the American government, utopia will arise in its place!” They’re no different from the Bush neo-cons in Iraq, or the Weather Underground, French revolutionaries, or Communists in Russia. This will not end well until the rest of the GOP learns that governing with the Tea Party is far, far worse than governing with Democrats. Who, unlike the tea party, actually want America to succeed.
There is nothing common about sense. Biggest oxymoron of all time. Common enemy isn’t far behind. Maybe using something other than the tired old buzzwords to express yourself would help you advance your cause. And no, I’m not a liberal.
Half the complaints about Obama on this list are from the left. Anyone who actually believes that “sheeple” nonsense needs to look in a mirror or quit being a nimrod.
They resist and block everything Because they have hated Obama since before he ever did anything. If given a chance the majority of GOP would kill him if they wouldn’t get caught.
What is he so guilty of??
Being president while Black.Makes me feel shame because of the racists.
When he has done something stupid,And he has, several times, like almost invading Syria, railing against him would be way more powerful than when it’s such a predictable, knee-jerk reaction.
“They’re all on Medicare and Social Security, while complaining about socialism.Just like the conservative commenters here.”.The problem with the left is supreme intellectual arrogance. You think you know everything. Here you are making assumptions about the conservative posters while your fellow Kool Aid drinkers know for a fact that guns are made to kill even though cars do it better..Must be lonely at the top and full of it.
“Believe recipients of medicare and ss paid into it, thus it is not “free stuff” like food stamps and condoms.”
That’s very generous of you, but what of the very many who have paid taxes off the top of every dime they ever made, and fallen ‘though the cracks’?
Oh, I know you are talking about ‘multigenerational’ welfare recipients, and there even are some of those – but over the last four decades, most welfare recipients have worked in the past, and would like to work again. Welfare and food stamps are paid out of taxpayer funds, and how are you going deny those who have paid in?
Grass RootsYou have Got to be kidding!!This is pure Astro-turf. Haven’t you heard of the Koch brothers? those 2 brothers that make between them the riches snots around?? They put together the Heritage Foundation, ALEC, And the tee party, along with the Cato institute and a bunch of other right- wing extremist groups! They Want you to believe that it was grass roots, but it isn’t and never was.
“Tea Party fanatics want to double down on lose/lose; shutdown the govt and not pay our obligations with the debt ceiling. That would kill the Republican party dead. That would kill ANY party dead.”
I’m not sure we shouldn’t just leave them to get on with it. That would be half the battle right there … then we could work on putting the Dems straight.

@midas welby, You nailed it. I am so sick of hearing the phrase “common sense” used to mean, “thinking exactly like me.”
Some examples of common sense are, “water quenches thirst” and “fire burns skin”, some observations all humans share.

“A grass roots movement that can’t be bought with Free Stuff.”
You’re right. The Tea Party has been bought with ideology … which always comes with a grossly inflated price tag.
