Imagine romancing in the horse and buggy days:You finally are dating the girl of your dreams-and the horse takes a dump right in front of you!(I understand there were some attempts to design a buggy a horse would push, but it never worked too well)

Actually they did ride smaller horses back then. The Arabian types we’re used to seeing (especially in the movies) just were not used. They were used mainly for special times.But for every day travel, they used a much smaller horse that tended to trot sort of. They were very hardy and could go all day whereas the Arabian had to rest. They were like little power houses of the horse world.They did look kinda funny though.
