But hey! Their unemployment rate is lower than ours!

And, now we know what the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow really is!

Precisely, the greatest power given any citizen of this Republic is the ability to vote with his feet.

And that’s another reason to retain the unique differences between the states.

maybe we shouldn’t send textile jobs to the third world. even though labor costs are cheap, regulations are non existent, and corruption is rife, it isn’t worth it. does wearing that new nike outfit really worth 100 dead Bangladeshi? does having zippers that costs 1 penny worth it? and, doesn’t alleviate the poverty in those countries. and, the clothes we associate as american are made in other countries. cowboy boots made in thailand, denim jeans made in china, designer purse made in bangladesh, blue baby blanket made in vietnam.

Stipple: how much was YOUR cut of Alaskan oil revenue last year, that wouldn’t have been possible if not for the federal government granting so much to Alaskans when they entered the union?? (Probably more than the average annual salary of a Bangladesh garment worker!)

Pup unbound, there are slim to none in regard to “Welfare queens”.The SNAP program for them most part goes for food only! You can’t buy anything like laundry detergent, or toilet paper. So it is nearly impossible to buy clothes. Most people who get food stamps are the working poor. It makes me mad when people assume that people getting help from the government (there is no actual welfare) It has been replaced by something else that gives people less.
