The “secret” to martial arts is knowing how LITTLE force to use, to have an enemy defeat themselves. The other factor is having the mental strength to overcome “violence” with an actual LACK of violence.
Breaking eggs with a sledge hammer doesn’t leave you with much of an omelette.
Obama’s tough but negotiate approach seems to be working. And the International reaction seems to be relief the neo-cons are not running the show with their “you are either for us or with the terrorists” approach.
“……and the USA is being laughed at more and more by the international crowd…..”.Quite the opposite I’d say, now that the U.S. is starting to show some restraint in their foreign policy.
Hmm, multiple ships with cruise missiles sitting off their coast, and a subtle “slip of the tongue” (it’s called a veiled threat and offer) that gets someone ELSE to carry the ball for a change, is “negotiation” in today’s world. That simple-minded resolve, like Lester et al favor, not being bright enough to deal with “negotiation” represents the true danger, is “very American”, and the reason so many around the world were shocked that the grandest “Idiot in Chief”, “W”, was reelected. Obama’s ability to negotiate, overtly, or with subtle overtures,or responses, IS respected in a WORLD tired of wars, especially those waged, or led, by the United States.
The feathered chicken hawk, is actually a bird with outstanding vision, the human “chickenhawks” with their feathers always ruffled, and willing to send OTHERS to die, have the vision of an anvil, their “weapon of choice”, when a feather, not even a hammer, is the proper tool.
I don’t know about resolved, but I definitely agree that these Republicans are only about criticizing Obama instead of finding a solution to the actual problem and will never be pleased or have something relevant to contribute. You’re spot on with that.
