@Michael wmeRachael Maddow spent some time talking about the various wars going back to 1964. She showed Wayne Morse who was one of two who voted against President Johnson’s resolution. We need more Wayne Morses.
Wayne Morse had the right idea, and so did Ron Wyden in voting AGAINST invading Iraq. (Ron was on the Intelligence Committee, but given “security restrictions” wasn’t able to blow the whistle on all the lies being told at the time. All he could do was vote “NO” on what he KNEW to be TRUE!)
About a third through “Under Fire: the Untold Story of the Attack in Benghazi”- Burton and Katz- interesting reading, and already spelled out a lot more reality than any of the idiots on the right care about. Like many places in the world, it was a dangerous place, and no way, could our available resources have totally prevented the attack.
But hey, there are no drive bys in L.A., Chicago, N.Y., or any other “gang areas” stateside either, right???
Thanks for an absolutely interesting read. Great article in that it puts it bluntly and clearly. It’s a legacy the US, and coalition partners (especially Blair, and I’m not forgetting Portugal’s role as “willing” partner either) will have to admit for years to come.

I guess you haven’t been paying attention. A lot us on the left do not support US military action in Syria.

Thanks! Mostly great couple of weeks. I’m still on my break actually. I catch my flight back in about 18 hours. :(
