Let’s face it—the message length constrictions of twitter encourage the proliferation of inanities. I don’t have time to keep up with all the messages that go up on a message board. Why would I want to wade through the thousands of idiocies that have a certain hashtag attached, even if the subject is of interest to me? Make that especially if the subject is of interest to me and I want real discussion of it, and not people saying something about it just to say something.
