How true, especially since they don’t make “Scheme Polish”.

Procuring coffee is easy enough; just raid your piggy bank and go to the “Sev”.

Is it me or is Marigold or Phoebe smaller/taller in the 1st panel?

“Some time” being all of three hours.

I can see this is going to end badly – with Phoebe spitting her first taste of coffee across the room…

Children are much more sensitve to bitter tastes than adults. She won’t like it for the same reason she won’t eat broccoli.

All we agree you no need coffee in your system little miss, we don’t want to have a freakazoid around.

I remember being about Phoebe’s age – we’d go to the Modern on our way home from school and order a cup of coffee, which came in a thick white china cup and saucer. Lots of cream and sugar cubes, of course. We felt so grown up. :-)

Sign in a store/deli I stop at now and again:

“Unaccompanied Children Will Be Given An Espresso And A Kitten.”

Must be so great to have a buddy like that.

That should be a tag line for your coffee: “Not tested on animals or children.”

You all know what’s coming don’t you?

especially with school coming up, you need schemes in school

I’m well past childhood and have NEVER liked coffee. I don’t even like coffee ice-cream or other coffee/mocha flavored desserts.

A lot of ways this could go wrong every thing from Phoebe drinking the wrong thing to her parents being two steps ahead of her.

Oh dear. You do NOT want a telekinetic with the jitters.

Still one of the top two of my favorite comics…I wanna help them scheme…but then, they could do so much better than I could ever hope to do……

Dana, you had me at Unicorn…and still do…at anything! Discovering the older strips of yours and still my mind boggles at your creativity. Well done Lady, well done indeed!

I, too, don’t like coffee, even coffee ice cream, at all. But I started on the alternative early in 7th grade, when the headmaster’s wife had all us incoming kids over for an afternoon tea. Lipton’s at first, but these days, Marks & Spencer’s Extra Strong.

Apparently, since this is the 500th Heavenly Nostrils strip, the folks at Gocomics are letting us enjoy it a little longer, along with all of their other strips from yesterday.

It’s not great
