Twinkly! Did I just miss you again?

You mentioned your time zone yesterday…. so I’ve been wondering where you are.

I’m on Pacific time… AND I keep late hours, so I’m out of sync with lots of people…. sigh….

pcolli…. that was one of my favorite sci-fi stories when I first started reading them…I must have been about 12.

Absolutely amazing to think it’s over 100 years old, but foretold a very modern dependence on technology .. even though it was unheard of then.

    I don’t believe I ever saw a dramatisation….maybe it’s on Youtube.

I just looked at yesterday BS (parrot chandelier or mannequin) is most likely what you meant. I collect things that I find both useful and decorative (did more so when I had a big salary). Now I have to think carefully about replacement of my spitting cranes in the fountain. The largest were $350 when I bought them in 1999, now $399 each (much smaller ones are 399 and tiny 199) ;-(

Hello all….Oh, Stel…. I was so happy to see the new edition!I got worried when the Bugle was late yesterday…. usually it’s on the doorstep long before I get up.

I’m going to the Ballard News, Shoes and Brews to buy a dozen extra copies….of course I don’t drink in their bar, but they usually don’t run out of yesterday’s papers as fast as the Retromart Revival Shoppe, where most people look first.

I like to keep it around all week for clients sitting under the dryer….but they get rumpled…. and I know Henrietta Ayers and Alyce Henry both bring scissors to cut out articles and recipes when I’m not looking.

I should probably subscribe to the almost indestructible steel plate edition like you put in the rooms at SCHAABS.

Then I’d know I could save it for posterity.Unless somebody takes it,

    2Old… I’m in N Cal…. about 50 mi north of San Francisco.

    I can’t figure out about your location….

The “turn” of the comics is at the same moment all over the globe. If you’re in Washington STATE, for you, me, and Happy….and the Monkey…and x_Tech…. and others…that’s right before 10:15pm PDT…. usually 10:13.

If you’re in Washington DC, it would be 3 hours later…. 1:13 AM.But for some reason, I’d thought you were on the West Coast.

But yes…. I keep ridiculously late hours…. I often show up at the turn or even 11pm or midnight….and I post till 2 am…. or so…sometimes falling asleep in the process.

I know I know… it would make more sense to go to bed….if I could sleep there.

Could not coax myself into the water. Weather says outside is 82F (and water probably around that) but feels too cold to me. If I had a drink it would not matter so much, but I’ll wait for my bath (cool too, but that’s OK, and I’ll have some tea). Hope we have no rain in the morning (forcasts have it all week until Friday). I don’t mind SOME sprinkles but rain is very distracting and I want to do proper laps (even though my form is not – don’t like my whole face in the water).

BS dogs are not to be trifled with. These guys are resourceful, adaptable, imaginative, and remarkably analytical. As far as Teddy is concerned, those greyhounds can go sniff dirt.
