Loved the story. It is so true what “W” and Cheney did to this country. I agree that people should vote very carefully next year. We need politicians that are willing to cooperate with each other. Get rid of the self serving tea party radicals. They only want their way or no way. they are pathetic.
lol. On Syria . . . one batch of Republicans is saying “full no-fly zone, combat air assault, full support for rebels, jump directly into middle of savage Mideast civil war”Another batch of Republicans is saying “Do nothing. Do absolutely nothing at all.”A third batch of Republicans is saying “Congress should decide. But please wait till we finish our vacations.”Meanwhile, actual Republican party leader Rush Limbaugh’s ‘position’ on Syria is: “Hate Obama, hate admin, hate Reverend Wright.”Seriously. Syria is much too complicated for Republicans. Let’s give them a task they can handle. Something within their skill set. Maybe shutting down that last abortion clinic in Mississippi for instance. Start with that; leave Syria for the grownups.
Cube, I can only assume you get your information for Pat Robertson and LImbaugh, because you certainly don’t actually READ any of my posts. I’ve cited often sources for information, and been highly critical of going into Syria, no matter WHO wants to do it! I’ve cited the HISTORY of why I take differences with our folks who are constantly on the threshold of war against anybody of convenience, and profit potential.
The fact I don’t LIKE some folks, or disagree with their religious perspectives, doesn’t mean I “HATE” them, that requires a very conservative “religious” bent. Getting fed up with ignorance, that often crosses into gross stupidity (because they refuse to accept facts) with some folks calls for brief and accurate accounting on occasion.
“Sexual insults”- you GOTTA be a Robertson fan to deduce that!
British PM Cameron spent 8 hours Thursday trying to persuade House of Commons to participate in attack on Syria. He failed. Toxic legacy of Iraq. Arab League has been pushing for action for over a year – now at critical moment, they’re waffling. UN meanwhile is paralyzed by Russian veto. Russia backed down on Kosovo, backed down on Libya – Putin isn’t backing down now on Syria. Their most lucrative client and solid ally in the Middle East. Czar Putin is not interested in diplomacy or discussion of any kind.A go-it-alone U.S. military strike, for punitive or ‘demonstration’ purposes, would not likely change the behavior of Assad but instead open us up to the danger of increased engagement in this nightmare war.On the other hand, it is a very bad precedent for the international community to stand by while a government sprays clouds of nerve gas on men, women and children like insecticide. There really seems to be no good choices here at all. I thought the Obama admin ‘broadcasting’ the attack was a bad move. But maybe not. All our intelligence eyes and ears watched the full Syrian defensive deployment over the last few days. We know their response plan. The US Joint Chiefs say our target is not the chemicals weapons themselves, of course, but facilities, infrastructure, and command-and-control. In an authoritarian state these tend to be inflexible. And critical.Sometimes, when you have no good shot, you pass the ball around until you get one.

If only Barry had a set of balls to make a decision on his own. Somebody needs to look up the word Leader!

Corzak: a stop sign is too complicated for the vast majority of today’s “republicans”, especially the “conservatives” posting here.
