Going to “history” is maybe of value: the total destruction of Dresden, that had no military targets, does sum up “Shock and Awe’s” ACTUAL result pretty well. Amazing how our “surgical strikes” so often turn out like the surgeon who amputates the wrong leg, or does a heart transplant on a guy in for a cornea transplant.
Obama is now going to Congress, as Republicans AND Democrats demand after Republicans saying for many months, BOMB SOMEBODY! No matter what he does, Republicans will say it’s wrong, and will spend the next two weeks figuring out how to make any action Obama’s “fault”.
