Rose: Pent-up frustrations are not healthy...so I allow myself in occasional solitary silent temper tantrum.
Rose: I'm sure most adults handle their grievances in a more mature manner.
I worked in a law office and one of the partners had a terrible temper. He would act much worse than a baby without its bottle. He would yell at his legal assistant and even clients. Not only did he yell, he cursed. He was so loud once that someone in an office across the hall and outside the door told him to shut up. They have moved their office.
You haven’t been out much lately have you Rose. I’ve seen plenty of adult temper tantrums in public. I’d be happy if they did it silently and alone. Then we wouldn’t have to be subjected to it.
(stamping my feet) You’re wrong! They do have tantrums! They do so! THEY DO SO! It’s not a 2yo temper tantrum if I’m 50 years old! It’s not! It’s not! IT’S NOT!
Husband laid-off, waited at home for WA state to contact him when he wasn’t even registered yet, so 2 weeks unemployment checks down the tube. Seething mess, nothing like Rose has even approached on this strip. But I kept my big mouth shut & saved my marriage.

The key word here is “silent.” Most people just spout off making themselves look stupid and the people around them feel awkward.

From what I’ve seen, many just stomp around cussing and slamming doors!

It’s always good to let off steam without scaring others by doing it silently.

If you must have a temper tantrum, try not to do it around the kids if you can help it. They think they’re supposed to be the child.

When I need to blow off steam I’m anything but silent!
