It’s been a long time since silent spring by Carson McCullagh . That ‘s when green energy should have been started. The oil spill has made a ghost town out of a prosperous neighborhood in Arkansas, and the residents didn’t even know that E$$on Had put in a pipe.As for going to war (a civil war) not even nearby is nuts. After , spending years trying to rid the world of Alquida, This would be helping them. but all this is diminished by what we found out this month about Fukushima. They can’t build storage containment for spent radioactive water as fast as it’s being made. They have a China Syndrome going on that has already contaminated the whole pacific ocean.

Folks have forgotten the deaths in London in the 1950’s that led to changing laws to reduce pollution, and stop directly killing people en mass, with coal dust and smog. Today, the fossil fuel industry has managed to get many of those regulations reversed or limited in their favor, and things ARE getting worse again, around the world.

Intersting as well the same “conservatives” who say there’s no problem, DO scream and holler it’s only the Chinese causing the problem, and protesting U.S. “innocence” on the issue: bullpucky!

My diesel truck has a “soot scrubber”. It is a DPF – diesel particulate filter along with a DEF pump that pumps urea into the hot exhaust. Out comes clean air. I can park the truck in a tunnel of the store I deliver to and idle for an hour and the air is cleaner than when I entered. And if this system fails the computer derates the engine and if I ignore that it shuts the truck off, and it has to be towed and fixed. Thank your USA EPA.

Hmm, some folks, if not “conservative”, must just be admitting to being totally ignorant on all issues, or maybe just “stupid”?? Science of course is based on facts, religions are based on “faith”. One can be proven, the other cannot.

Billions have died because of “faith”, and that’s been well proven over the centuries. Far fewer have died based on science, or fact, though the fact is many religious folks have bastardized science to enhance their killing potential for “faith”.
