Ted Rall for August 30, 2013
Transcript:
So you're a typical country. Tight budget. You can't afford big, high-tech weapons. Even if you can, the "international community" won't let you buy them. (Man 1: Can't trust you with nukes.) (Man 2: But you used 'em!) (Man 1: That's why we know how bad they are.) You can buy older, used weapons. But if you use them, the "international community" will punish you. (Man 1: You used chemical weapons?!) (Man 2: Which you used.) (Man 1: Before! Now we'll have to nuke you.) If you don't use your older, banned weapons, you'll be invaded or overthrown. (Man 2: Fortunately, I remain in compliance with international arms control standards.) Victory goes to the early adopters. (Man 3: You're killing with drones?! Those went out with the 22nd century!)

Weren’t the WMD’s that were used over there supplied by Western powers, among them the United States? How can their use be condemned when their source is “Made in the United States”?

We once had slave. We once kept women from voting. We once committed genocide against our native people. So, by Ted’s law, no nation should be criticized for or, lord knows, kept from, enslaving people, subjugating their women or actively working to wipe out minority groups.

Nope, Saddam moved them there from Iraq-———Pussycat (to borrow an appropriate moniker borrowed from Just Curious which I read on another thread) -Normally I don’t respond to trolls, but in this case I’ll make an exception, because I simply MUST ask:1) What credible source do you have upon which to base this claim?2) Supposing Saddam possessed them and moved them from Iraq to Syria, where did he obtain them?.I’m not holding my breath, waiting for you to respond with an intelligent and believable response or source.
