We can’t justify what Syria has done. We shouldn’t try.But we don’t need to keep rescuing other countries by going to war for them and then staying and occupying them forever after. I say No to any new wars!

We hope the same thing, Mr. President..p.s. Does someone have a muzzle that might fit Harleyquinn? He’s kind of like the neighbor’s dog who won’t quit yapping; he doesn’t know what he’s barking at, but he just can’t (or won’t) stop.

In truth, we should not go there. Every time we act militarily (especially in small countries that have neither attacked nor threatened us), even on supposed humanitarian grounds, we make things worse. If there is some response to the Assad regime, it must be from the international community.

Then, stop talking about specific red lines that shouldn’t be crosses “or else!”

Lead, Follow or Get Out of the Way. (Oh, and do it about 100,000 lives ago.)

Here we seem to have: Ignore, Worry, and Bomb.

Still beats Bush’s: Lie, Steal and Bomb!

    (But not by much…)

You might want to add BillH77 to that list; I know I plan to.Anyone who thinks “demonRATic” is clever is too much of a fool to be acknowledged.

I’d gladly lend it to you, but somehow I doubt even the tightest muzzle would do any good where you’re concerned..Perhaps a straight-jacket and a Hannibal Lechter-syle hockey mask would do the trick. It would look quite fitting on you.

“You are about as bright as Obama, jump jump, king me. But but Reagan but but Republicans…”.Does anyone besides me notice how often Harleyquinn’s arguments sound like something you’d encounter on the elementary school playground? Or perhaps even pre-school?

“As long as muslim extremists are kiling muslim extremists, I don’t see any reason to get involved other than to sell ammunition to both sides.”Great plan. That way they can use the ammo we sell them to kill the innocent civilians caught in the cross fire. If we’re going to stay out of it, we need to stay out of it entirely. Refuse to do business with either side.

Harleyq. hasn’t made a single point worth refuting, he’s simply chanted “It’s Obama’s fault” in one way or another. The mess in the Middle East has been going on for almost 5 millennia, and it has been the bane of every American President since the early 1800’s. Obama’s fault? That contention is so untrue as to be delusional. We can’t fix it. We can apply band-aids (as Carter did when he brokered a short-lived peace in the 1970’s), but as soon as there is peace the radical elements assassinate the peace-keepers and toss all of the good efforts into the trash.Curiously the very liberal and very conservative elements are almost in agreement on this one, let the U.S. keep out of it. But sadly it may be the moderates, horrified by Assad’s brutality, but not wanting to admit that his opposition is no friend of ours, who get us into the soup on this one.

A little history lesson: the Mideast became the powder keg it is today as a result of the US invasion of Iraq in 2003. Everything stems from that.

You were correct twice in that comment:1) it is JUST your opinion, and2) You could be quite wrong about this.

It was the Chicago School of Economics that was the basis for atrocities we did in south America, the deposing small successful democracies and putting in Capitalist dictators that was the beginning of the worst kind of action. They killed, robbed tortured their way around the world pushing Canibalistic Capitalism. This is the economic style that the GOP pushed even then.
