Before I leave here today I just have to post this comment that I read on another site:

˝Hey, Steve Ballmer, you’ve just left Microsoft. What’re you gonna do now?˝ ˝I’m buying Disneyland!˝

A Representative Republic Government we call Democracy will not work in Egypt.

‘We will never be able to instill our form of Government on Muslim Countries.’-Careful, Tigger, you’re getting perilously close to blaming Bush for something when you know very well that it’s okay if a Republican does it.

Democracy once did take hold in the region. However, the US decided that it was not expedient and in 1953 deposed Dr. Mossedeq and reinstated the Shah of Iran. Much of the problems of Iran, Iraq, etc., are the fallout and blowback of that move. What’s even more shameful is that Mossedeq was an ardent support of the US, his only crime was to nationalize the oil of Iran so that the people of Iran could share in the benefit of the profits derived therefrom. So, as far as the citizens of that part of the world go, the US is firmly against their attempts to have real democracy and self-dtermination. They don’t hate our freedoms, they hate us for taking theirs.
