I have to admit this has turned into one of my favorite story lines.

Only half a minute?! (Where’s the mailman’s duct tap patch on his pants’ seat?)

If it’s only been 30 seconds, he must have had the ladder with him the whole time. So why did he bother sending the cat up to get the letter (which seems to be gone anyway)?

If that is indeed the mailman, he’s also missing the red stripe on his pant leg.

And where’s the letter??

uh, why didn’t they use the ladder in the first place? Just asking.

Still no letter – but looks like we are done with this story line by Saturday.

Nesting instinct. Who knew?

Uh, guys? This is the street that had the open manhole, cement mixer, mobile shark in a tank, and an open, dangerous vat of boiling tar… Don’t over think; relax and enjoy the ride. Have popcorn… and beer…

Poor old Ponch. He’s finally gone over the edge.

So now Poncho’s turned into a nagging wife and the cat is the henpecked husband? This just gets weirder and weirder.

That vat of boiling tar would be a good place for a cat to land after he got thrown off of the branch.

How is Poncho going to live down being rescued by the mailman?

Ok, I get it, its like a soap opera, endless loop of story line that never reaches an end. Yes this has gotten funnier and funnier as it got stranger and stranger. And it has taken place in, oh, 45 minutes real time.

For those of you thinking the storyline has stretched on too long, the theory of relativity applies to cartoons as well. Poncho has been up the tree for 5 days now and only 30 seconds have gone by in comic strip time…
