And the supposed “investigative journalists” just give their boy Barry a pass as usual.

The Nixon Library released some more tapes from the Watergate years with Bush Sr, then the head of the RNC, talking sympathetically to Mr. Nixon.Recognizing that Mr. Bush, along with others who called, believed Mr. Nixon’s comments after his first comments on the ‘scandal’.Trent Lock, who helped protect Nixon for awhile was one of the first to call for investigations on Clinton. The Republicans were in lockstep to protect Reagan during Iran/Contra and in defending Ed Meese, just as Dems formed a wall between Republicans and Clinton during his scandals. I won’t go into the myriad other scandals leading us up until today. All this cartoon tells us is what we already know. Party comes first. An attack on any Dem/Rep is an attack on ALL Dems/Reps and must be defended no matter what the ‘truth’ may be.Conversely, the "mote’ in your opposing party’s eye shall always be identified as a steel girder for as long as the media and the base is willing to support that idea. (Quick note, a majority of LA republicans were polled recently and said that Obama was responsible for what happened after Katrina. Obama was a first term senator that year, but the lie suits the state party more than the truth)The NSA issue is a scandal that covers two administrations. Benghazi was an incident, like the USS Cole, not a scandal. Mr. Stevens was not ordered to go to that CIA safe house and he knew the quality of his Libyan ‘guards’. It was a tragedy to learn from, like the barracks bombing in Lebanon. It is also a ‘mote’ with which Republicans wish to prove their enemie’s, not Muslims – Democrats, incompetence, while failing to learn from the past mistakes of their own party. The IRS ‘scandal’, barring new information, is also a non issue brought about because of the Citizen’s United ruling of the SCOTUS. A swarm of new applicants and a desire to prevent abuse and misconduct led the agent in charge, a self identified republican, to use a shortcut. Liberal groups were also effected, though it does appear some conserve groups were targeted for the kind of questioning once reserved for minorities at voting booths during the Jim Crow times in the South. Not appropriate, but not a scandal.Your political leaders do not care about the nation beyond the fact they want something to rule once “THEY” are in charge. I want neither party to have total control for reasons we are witnessing in NC, TX, and even my state of VA.It doesn’t take much for those who walk in lock step to start marching, even goosestepping, over the people they are supposed to be serving and protecting. Germany didn’t start out as a Nazi nation, but it became that way when good people, beset by poverty and hopelessness, were convinced by their leaders that their neighbors were the problem.Just like some of those who comment in these pages.Respectfully,C.

I’m a critic of Obama because I’m a Capitalist and not a Socialist.

What scandal? I haven’t seen anything that would warrant any of those incidents being called a scandal. But there’s no accounting for GOP/Tea Party/Libertarian ignorance.

@DGF999 – Really? You wouldn’t know Socialism if it smacked you in the face. Cuba has Socialism, Vietnam is socialist, North Korea is socialist, Laos is socialist. Maybe you might try and educate yourself to what socialism is. You might realize the President isn’t and never has been a socialist. Of course if your hatred of a mixed race president clouds your frontal lobes, you may not.

“The REAL scandal is that Republicans are fighting to make sure their pet political groups don’t have to disclose who their donors are. They don’t want to be classified as a 527 (still tax exempt, but they’d have to disclose who donates more than $250 and how they spend donors’ money – the same way liberal groups have to).”

No, here is the real scandal.

HSUS is not a benign animal welfare organization, they are an extremist, animal rights vegan organization.

Their illegal lobbying activities alone should have been a scandal for the last two decades of various different administrations.

Animal rights is devoted not to the health and well being of animals, but to giving animals the same civil rights as humans.

Get up off the floor, wipe your eyes, and remember that Florida gave Constitutional rights to sows ten or fifteen years ago, destroying what little hog raising Florida was engaged in – which was not CAFO, though that was the hook that was used to ram the amendment down the throat of Floridians.

They don’t have to outlaw pets, meat, honey, wool, hunting, fishing or any of the other things they consider ‘immoral’. All they have to do is make it impossible for anyone to actually do anything they disapprove of.

And the IRS is giving them a free pass.

Scandal? Certainly should be, but the media are silent. Special interests rule!

“For years, all his critics screamed that, since Hawaii is part of Kenya, he’s not really president. I believe there was a little boy assigned to watch for lupine pests who kept screaming over and over and over and over, until, when the aforementioned lupine pest really arrived, no one believed the lad, and the pest managed to depart with belly full and pelt unperforated.”..I think that we can assume that you meant canis lupis. The lupine is a plant.
