Hey, narrow, your Mr. Issa has brought investigation after investigation, a new one every week, and has uncovered nothing he didn’t manufacture himself. The problem is that, since Democrats are actually interested in making government work, a lot of them ran for office to govern and improve lives, and they can do it pretty well. You get some horrible people too, of course, and it tends to be in places like Illinois where there’s no competition because the Republican party has no following, so being a Democrat is the only route to power. But with Republicans, you only go into government if you’re either hell-bent about dragging America down, like Ted Cruz and Steve King; or corrupt, either for money (a cush corporate gig after your departure like McDonnell), or for simple power (and a spot on Fox News, like virtually every GOP presidential candidate other than Romney and Huntsman). As for McDonnell — how’s that term limit idea working out in practice?

“Understand the Mrs. bought Star Scientific shares on her insider knowledge”

I don’t know about insider knowledge, but I do know she borrowed money from the guy who owns Star Scientific in order to buy stock in that company. Now that they’re in Damage Control mode, they paid back the loan. As a result of loss of value of the stock she bought, she lost money on the deal.

Ms. Clinton was taking advantage of the law Congress passed that keeps them immune from charges of insider trading. They can do it all they want. Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) introduced a law to stop the practice. It was in force for about a year, when a bi-partisan bill was passed negating her law this spring. The only time Congress can get along is when it decides it’s above the law. Again, the best example of waste and fraud in the federal government is our Congress. Money for nothing….not so sure if they get chicks for free (apologies to Mark Knopfler….)

McCauliffe has his own baggage: an investigation of whether the company he started tried to take illegal advantage of what might best be described as a guest worker program. The Libertarian is making gains against two poor candidates, and the Republican Lt. Gov., who Cuccinelli eliminated from contention in his party by parliamentary trickery, is touted as a write-in candidate (he’s very popular, but it’s too late to file). Just a circus in the Old Dominion. The Mother of Presidents has fallen so very far…..

Do you have some kind of a problem with reading comprehension? In the first sentence of my first post. I wrote:“The problem with the conservative Republicans vs. the liberal Democrats is not that the Democrats do not do the same kinds of despicable things, because they certainly do. "

I thought I was rather clear.

I went to high school in VA and lived there until I was 34.Doing stuff like replacing a lost car title or getting a boat trailer license was almost impossible. When I bought my first gun the “three day waiting period” was more like 33 days. One of the kids in my class later took over his father’s job as tax collector, and I suspected bribes from the git-go.

And the Cooch is worse than Bob. He’s everything Bob is and worse, without the personality.

Virginia and North Carolina are so un-American that they don’t need to sucede, but I wish they would.
