Alix: Ms. Erma? We can't find any crawdads at all!
Erma: Really? Last year we counted 57!
Erma: You must not be looking in the right places. Let's move this big rock.
Erma: Hel-LO!
Alix: Pinchy!
Girl: You named it already? No fair!
Well, that answers my first question from yesterday: would Alix own up to being the source of “Pinchy”. So now the reminaing quetion is: what will the teacher do with the “alien species”?
My guess, either teacher and Alix or Evie (or Val) and Alix will take a drive up to the lake on the weekend. It’s only a four-hour round-trip and it will bring the lesson home for Alix.

Pinchy has been busy eating the other crawdads. See Wednesday’s strip.

No…I wouldn’t be surprised if Alix and Val (and Evie, too) go back up to the lake and put Pinchy back where s/he belongs… ;)
