I feel for Phoebe—that and the EBS (Emergency Broadcast System) test tone on radio and TV both jarred me. Marigold could accelerate Phoebe’s school bell de-sensitization training by magically re-programming Phoebe’s cellphone to ring with that sound…

I suffered the same problem. But one day I walked into the principal’s office and rang the bell. They punished me, but it felt great. Since then I was not afraid of the school bell =D

But how can a HORN make a BELL sound?

I still think of our 24 year old daughter as being Phoebe’s age. She even looks like her. I wonder if she had that same reaction to the school bell yesterday. It was her first full day in her first teaching job.

It could be worse, at least they don’t get tornadoes in the northwest.

She did better… meaning, perhaps, that this time she didn’t entirely leap out of her skin… or wet herself?

I’d need Marigold to do a fire alarm buzzer for me…that’s what I hated in school.

I thought, for a moment, that her phone was ringing.I guess that dates me…

The one that would make me jump was the fire drill buzzer. Loudest thing I ever heard in school.

A few days ago, someone goofed and sent terror alert sirens going in Old Saybrook, CT. Good news, the system was working. Unfortunately, few people knew what it was or meant.
