Morty, the difference between the police and the military is not that big in Egypt. The new replacement governors — assigned, not elected, like we do now in Michigan — are mostly generals from the police AND the military.
The ’toon reminds me of a friend who took part in the failed Hungarian revolution against Moscow, when they were blowing up Russian tanks, and Ike and the “right” in America, you know, those “anti-Communists” like McCarthy did NOTHING to support their revolution. History presents some interesting comparisons!
