“now we are looking at yet another Obama blunder similar to our desertion of Iraq a few years ago and the resultant problems they are STILL having there!”Do you honestly think continued US occupation of Iraq will ever actually help? The longer our forces occupy the country, the more insurgents will fight our presence. Face it. We cannot “win” in Iraq or Afghanistan.
“If the Egypt Military can work with Israel then we should work with them. Obama can NOT get that simple concept.”Obama has used pretzel logic to keep funding Egypt’s military. Seems like he’s doing exactly what you want.
" What is good for Israel in the middle East is good for the USA."Israel is our staunchest ally in the region, and the one we share the most goals with. But not all. Israel has their own needs & agenda, that occasionally work against ours.
“Again: it was NOT the military. It was the police. Big difference!”I can’t agree with you here, Morty. I’m not sure what the story is over there, but the military is running the show. They have authorized the use of deadly force against demonstrators. Even the progressives don’t like this. Why do you think El-Baradei resigned?
" we are looking at yet another Obama blunder similar to our desertion of Iraq."I thought by now, everyone knew Iraq was a debacle that never should have happened. Guess I was wrong. How long do you think we will need to occupy Iraq before they “see the light”? Hint: look at how long the Ottomans & the British occupied Iraq before answering.
It made me sick to my stomach this morning when they (on the morning news) were talking about my tax dollars funding the Egyptian Military. Just like my tax dollars not fixing the pothole on my road but instead being used to pave a road in some 3rd world country that does not have half a dozen cars in the whole country. If we was to stop all the foreign aid crap and spent that money here at home we would have to go to a museum to see what a pothole looked like and no one would be hungry or homeless.
