Holy spit, what has happened to you? Fist a blatantly racist comic about Trayvon Martin and now this horrifyingly pro-sexual assault comic on stop and frisK. Who took over your space?

Whoa, how’d I get onto the RightWingNutJob page? I thought this was Oliphant!

This is a “sexist” cartoon in the old style. They were considered spicy and racy and appeared like this quite often years ago, even in the mainstream magazines. “Playboy” still has things like this, of course (is Little Annie Fanny still around?); but even “The New Yorker” did them years ago (think Peter Arno). Now, they would be considered disrespectful of women..Times and tastes change, everything becomes a political issue. I’m not excusing this one, especially the situation. I think it’s a lapse in good taste. (I just took a company on-line course in sexual harassment, and showing this to the wrong person could cause a legal problem.) But I think Oliphant is expecting the negative reactions and doesn’t care.

So do satyrs. These days, do the naiads and dryads spurn such advances and file suit with Zeus? A Zeus suit? You never used to Hera of such things.

Wow, that’s really strange. I must have missed something. Oooof.

Was that stop and frisk or Stop and fondle? Both of which could be avoided if NYC and possibly TSA would adopt a policy mandating total nudity.

It would appear Oliphant’s readers, at least the detractors, have no sense of humor.

Satire cannot bite unless it has teeth. Oliphant has a full set.
