I wondered about this. Seems that, since embassies are the soil of the country, it would be better to remove non-essential personnel and fortify the place. Other than changing a date on a calendar, how is closing the embassy going to change anything?

In your opinion would it be a socialist measure for the president and congress to institute controls on wages and prices in peace time? If Obama were to say, for instance, that the economic condition of the country is so serious that it’s necessary to institute wage and price controls, would you oppose it as a socialist program?
